Dressing for dinner is an easy affair. My gowns each hang without a shoulder touching, awaiting their selection. Purple satin, silver lame and sapphire velvet all lit up in their temporary home. The only choice remaining is in which of the six in-house establishments to dine.
With mirrored walls, stuffed velvet sofas and portraits of bygone stars lining the walls, “Cut” it seems, was tailored made for my evening. Every choice is presented with occasion, sincerity and flourish. Each mouthful a work of art and our view is one of fairy tales.
Steak of the highest order adorned with shaved black truffle at the Chef’s personal seasonal recommendation, is this hedonist’s own pleasure. There is laughter and light, rivers of Pinot Grigio, sweet and salty deserts to send us into raptures.
That is such a spellbindingly fantastic view! I love the dancing fountains and am off to see if I can find a YouTube video of them in action (I’ve always really adored fountains and water works shows).
It’s a really lovely treat to get to experience your trip via your posts about it, especially for an armchair international traveler like me.

Jessica: Thank you so much! It is an honour to be able to share these tales from across the world with you all. Should you ever be able to travel the world for real, I highly recommend this makes it onto the top 10 list 🙂
I loved reading your posts about Dubai, Candice. I went in 2011 as a stopover rather than a holiday and I think I need to go back and spend more time there!
