Out of the desert palm trees rise, water bubbling in tiny pools at their base, standing as sentries to the entrance of the old camp. Lanterns hung from the walls beckoning travellers to find hospitality there, as though we were lead by a star.
A welcome greeting, “ahlan wa sahlan” and small ceramic cups of Arabic coffee are proffered, the scent of cardamom rising in the steam.
You are right, there is nothing like a desert sunset. So beautiful !
Jaede: With any luck, I’ll be there to see one in April with you in Vegas too! 🙂
Fabulous, It’s a date !
Those moments are truly incredible. I know precisely what you mean and the way that you never, usually for the better, walk away from them the same again. They linger in your mind, shaping future choices and days and reminding you of what a grand and incredible gift each day of life truly is. I’m thrilled for you that you were able to have one of this awesome Middle Eastern adventure, dear Candice.

Jessica: I can honestly say I have returned as a different woman to the one who left Melbourne. My soul is truly richer for this journey. xx
