There is a story to be told here, in fact there may one day be a whole book of our travels and adventures, in all their glory and sometimes their epic fails.
When first thinking about how I would choose to rate many of the hotels and places I’ve stayed, there is one experience against which, all others are measured. It was memorable not because of how wonderful it was, but what a spectacular example of “how not to do hospitality” it was. This experience, and the host, have become known as “The One Towel Man”.
After The One Towel Man, told me that he had “even been to Sydney for two weeks and only ever got one towel!” I realised that the breadth of his travel experience was not particularly broad. And so our Towel Rating system was created.
