How’s your morning? Mine is pretty darn fabulous! Not that is it great weather, or the start of any major event, just starting the day in this FABULOUS 1960’s flouncy pink robe! Seriously, is this not that most insanely glam, kitchsy gorgeousness?!
I just adore vintage dressing gowns and have amassed quite a special little collection of pieces from the 1930’s through to the 1970’s of all kinds of pretty things to wear when you don’t want to get dressed. From silk to seersucker, frills and lace, quilting and full skirts, these gowns are simply divine. People often ask how I could possibly live without a tracksuit in my wardrobe; well this is the answer. When I come home from work and need to slip into something more comfortable, my 1970’s velveteen zip through robes are a treat. Feeling a bit down? Pop on something flouncy. Need to host an evening in with your loved ones? Frills, flounces and cocktails go a long way. I dare you not to have a fabulous morning wearing something like this while you sip your coffee!
This incredible gown was a gift from a friend who is about to launch a new online vintage boutique, check out her brand new Facebook page here and ‘Like” Edith Says! When she saw this piece, she knew exactly who it had to come and live with.
And in breaking news… you can now catch up with me everyday in “person”! I’m on Instagram video and am (attempting to) update daily with my look and a little chat. So if you fancy a teeny window into my world each day, here it is! <3<3
